The SEIU Healthcare PA Training and Education Fund is an education benefit of the SEIU Healthcare PA union that empowers our participants to improve their lives and move forward in their careers. Our programs are designed to connect with their goals and dreams, to support high quality care and services, and to be ready to face changes in the healthcare industry.

Who Is Eligible for the SEIU HCPA Training Benefits?

To be eligible for these benefits, you must work in an SEIU Healthcare PA union position at a participating employer. The SEIU HCPA Training Benefits are bargained for in your union contract, and all programs are FREE for participants.

  • CNA Skills Enrichment Course

    Designed for working CNAs who want to gain knowledge, improve their skills, and avoid "compassion fatigue" that many caregivers experience. Earn four marketable certifications in CPR, Mental Health First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and Dementia Capable Care. This 17 week course is currently fully remote due to COVID-19 restrictions. Fill out the Interest Form to get started!

  • LPN Skills Enrichment Course

    Designed for working LPNs who want to refresh your clinical skills and knowledge, learn new best practices, and strengthen your leadership skills. Earn four marketable certifications in CPR, Mental Health First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and Dementia Capable Care.   • ServSafe Certification

    Many food service employers require ServSafe Certification. Gain this highly marketable certification with us and learn safe food handling, preparation, and technique. Fill out the Interest Form to get started or learn more.

  • Career Exploration and Prep

    Ready for a change, but unsure of your next move? Attend a Career Exploration Workshop where you will explore your options, your learning style, and how to navigate the decisions that come along with taking the next steps in your career. Fill out the Interest Form to learn more.

  • Mentorship Program

    Got leadership skills? Participating in a Mentorship program fosters growth, partnership, and a stable working environment.  Fill out the Interest Form to learn more.

  • CPR Certification

    Save lives with confidence when you enroll with us in the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support CPR certification. Teaches both single rescuer and team dynamics. This certification is valid for 2 years. Fill out the Interest Form to learn more. 

  • Mental Health First Aid Certification

    There is no better time to learn how to effectively assist someone in the midst of a mental health crisis.  In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.  Fill out the Interest Form to learn more. 

  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification

    Learn how to safely and effectively recognize and respond to everyday crisis situations. With our Crisis Prevention Intervention instructors, you will learn prevention and de-escalation skills, how to disengage safely, and receive trauma-informed training.   • Dementia Capable Care Certification

    Participants will build the knowledge and skills needed to enable those who are living with dementia to engage in meaningful activities at their best ability, and to reduce the frequency and severity of distress behaviors.   • Online Continuing Education Courses

Employee Access, Training and Expectations -- Our organization values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of user information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.
  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
  11. Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties? We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, website traffic patterns and related website information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifying data, except as otherwise provided in this privacy policy.
  12. What About Legally Compelled Disclosure of Information? We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.

  14. As a participant of The Training and Education Fund's programs, you are automatically opted-in to receive text messages about your benefits. Please note that you may receive texts from different sources: one being from your Program Specialist, who will communicate with you directly; the other source comes from our main office and provides general information about your education programs. To opt-out of text messages at any time from any number, reply with the word STOP. To begin receiving messages again after opting out, you can reply to the last message you received with the word START. Donation Refund Policy

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organization. If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to our organization please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.

Automated Recurring Donation Cancellation

Ongoing support is important to enabling projects to continue their work, so we encourage donors to continue to contribute to projects over time. But if you must cancel your recurring donation, please notify us.
